Categories

Categories let you group your products — for example "Drinks" and "Food". Categories keep the till organised and can be colour-coded. You can reach this section via Products → Categories in the sidebar.

Create a category​

  1. Click Create category.
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name (required) — e.g. "Drinks"
    • Description — optional additional text
    • Color — colour identifier for the till view
    • Order — controls how categories are sorted
  3. Click Create.

The Order field determines the sequence in which categories appear at the till. Give frequently used categories a low number so they appear first. The Color helps till staff identify product groups more quickly.

Create your categories before your products. When creating a product you can then assign it directly to the right category.
