Devices (Tills)

Devices are the smartphones and tablets you register to use as a till (POS). OpenEOS requires no special hardware — any modern device with a browser can become a mobile till. Devices belong to the organisation and are therefore available for all events.

You can reach this section via Devices in the sidebar.

Register a new device

On the Devices page you will find a QR code and a registration link for your organisation. To pair a new device:

  1. Open the link on the device or scan the QR code with the device's camera.
  2. Enter a name for the device (e.g. "Till – Bar 1") and confirm.
  3. Enter the displayed code in the admin panel to approve the device.

Device registration

You can copy the registration link to the clipboard via Copy and distribute it to till staff, for example via a message.

Managing devices

Registered devices appear in the list on the Devices page. Here you can keep track of which tills are connected to your organisation and remove devices if needed.

Approval required

A device only becomes a till once you approve it using the displayed code. This prevents unauthorised devices from recording orders.

From till to order

Once a device is approved and an event is active, the till displays the products for the active event. Orders taken appear in real time under Orders and — if configured — at the assigned locations and printers.
